Lizbeth Flores is a leading corporate attorney with 16 years of experience advising clients in complex cross-border transactions. Her roster of past and present clients includes many of Latin America’s most well-known industrial and financial companies. Liz’s practice focuses on international corporate advising, corporate finance (capital markets and banking), mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital. She is a frequent speaker on issues affecting international companies developing disruptive technologies.
Prior to joining Private Advising Group, Liz was the lead in-house attorney at GE Capital responsible for the company’s healthcare equipment finance business, with operations in the U.S. and 15 Latin American countries. Earlier, she was regional counsel at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP (New York and Sao Paulo), and a corporate associate at White & Case LLP (Miami and Sao Paulo) and Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton LLP (New York), where she worked on a broad range of corporate transactions, with a focus on capital markets and banking.
In addition, Liz has served as an Adjunct Professor of the Sao Paulo Law School – Fundação Getulio Vargas, where she taught a course on U.S. business law. Liz is of Mexican heritage, was raised in the U.S. and Europe, and spent seven years living and practicing law in Brazil.
