Ben Mitchel is a commercial litigator who represents businesses, developers, and property owners in complex, high-stakes disputes. His practice spans breach of contract, business torts, antitrust, financial services, consumer class actions, and real estate litigation, and he has tried cases in both state and federal court.
Ben approaches every matter with his clients' business objectives in mind, viewing litigation as a business problem to solve rather than simply a legal dispute.
He also has significant experience in Florida land use and real estate litigation, representing developers and property owners in matters involving development approvals, regulatory takings, zoning disputes, municipal ordinance and policy challenges, and Florida's Live Local Act.
Outside the courtroom, Ben serves as Vice President of the Miami-Dade Urban Debate League, a nonprofit that introduces public school students to competitive policy debate while helping them develop research, advocacy, and public-speaking skills.
Before joining PAG, Ben practiced at a leading Florida land use and zoning boutique and at one of Miami's largest law firms, where he handled complex commercial litigation. He earned both his B.A., cum laude, and J.D., cum laude, from the University of Florida. While in law school, Ben served as a Managing Editor of the Florida Law Review and interned for the Honorable Dave Lee Brannon, U.S. Magistrate Judge for the Southern District of Florida.
Our commitment to excellence has driven numerous
successful outcomes in complex legal matters.
