Bernardo has more than 14 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, and for the last eight years, has been highly focused on venture capital and impact investing. He advises tech startups and venture capital funds with their general structuring, corporate reorganizations, investment rounds and acquisitions, as well as social impact businesses and funds (debt or equity) with their structure and investments. He also focuses on cross border debt structuring as well as corporate acquisitions involving tangible or real estate assets in Mexico.

Parallel to his legal practice, Bernardo co manages two early-stage venture capital funds that have a strong emphasis in Latam operating businesses. Bernardo has also collaborated with legislators in the preparation of amendments to Mexico's general corporations law (Ley General de Sociedades Mercantiles)
