Patricia Acosta leads PAG’s litigation and dispute resolution practice. She is widely recognized as a fearless, unrelenting advocate for founders and companies in high-stakes disputes. From contentious business divorces and fractured partnerships to bet-the-company lawsuits, she brings sharp, creative strategy and unwavering resolve to every matter.
Patricia is a sought-after libel lawyer when reputations are under siege. She represents companies and individuals facing defamation claims and other existential reputational threats, including in actions against influential publishers.
Patricia is known for crafting bold litigation strategies that disrupt expectations and give her clients a decisive edge.Patricia litigates disputes from inception through trial in state and federal courts nationwide, as well as before international arbitration tribunals in both English and Spanish.
Patricia has been highly regarded for her skill and results, including being named among the 2026 Best Lawyers in America, ranked as a Legal Elite, Super Lawyer, and a Miami Elite in commercial and international disputes.
Patricia frequently lectures on cutting-edge issues, most recently as an adjunct professor of cyber, technology, First Amendment, and privacy law at NSU Shepard Broad College of Law. She chaired the Florida Bar’s Media and Communications Law Committee for two consecutive terms, and served on the board of the Florida Bar Foundation. Patricia served as a judicial law clerk for a federal district court judge, spent a decade honing the craft of litigation at an Am Law 100 law firm, and managed her own law firm before co-founding PAG.
