Peter is a leading international lawyer with over 30 years of experience, including as a partner at three top global law firms and Latin America regional general counsel for a major financial institution. Ranked among Latinvex’s Top 100 Lawyers for Latin America in 2023, 2024 and 2025 he is a Founding Partner of PAG Law and Managing Partner of its New York office.

Peter specializes in cross-border M&A, venture capital, private equity, debt and equity financings, securitizations, and capital markets transactions, particularly between the U.S. and Latin America, with a focus on Brazil. He has advised investors, public and private companies, and startups on major transactions, including pioneering IPOs and landmark financings. His work includes advising on a $500M growth equity financing for a Brazilian e-commerce firm (Latin America's second-largest VC deal in 2021) and a $2B SPAC business combination for a U.S.-based EV company set to list on NASDAQ in 2024.

Fluent in Portuguese and proficient in Spanish, Peter is a lifetime member of the Council on Foreign Relations. He holds a B.A., magna cum laude, from Harvard College and a J.D. from Harvard Law School and has been rated AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell and ranked by for Corporate and M&A by Legal 500 and Chambers.
