We founded this firm over a decade ago with a deliberate strategy: make elite legal counsel available to entrepreneurs and founders. Our thesis rested on two pillars: culture and technology.
On culture, we built a firm founded by entrepreneurs, for entrepreneurs. Their philosophy is in our DNA: get from point A to point B with as little friction as possible. For founders, that means preserving cash to build their business rather than unnecessarily spending on lawyer fees. We trained associates to exercise judgment early and do meaningful work. We freed partners from pressure to extract billable hours from every client relationship. The result: happy clients because they got partner attention and focus — and because they’re paying roughly half what competitors charge for the same caliber of counsel. Happy lawyers because they were doing counsel work that actually mattered.
On technology, we invested in tools and processes that let us work leanly and efficiently — getting clients from point A to point B without unnecessary complications or overhead.
Our model was never to extract maximum legal bills from each deal. It was the opposite. Build trust by getting the job done at a great value. And it worked. We have clients we’ve worked with for over a decade — since we were seven lawyers — and we’ve grown together as they’ve grown. That longevity is the real measure of whether your model works.
Then AI arrived, and it’s been our busiest year ever. Most of our clients are now highly literate in AI. And the advent of AI has only turbocharged our model. We’re seeing something powerful: organizations across all sizes are recognizing that culture plus technology is the future of legal service. We’re not just serving founders anymore — we’re serving large company general counsel who’ve arrived at the same conclusion independently. Most firms are using AI and keeping the savings. We built a model where the savings were always supposed to flow to the client.
Because in an AI world, the culture + technology law firm model becomes more valuable, not less. AI amplifies what we’ve always done — it doesn’t replace it.
We smile when we see press announcements that a Big Law firm is spending $500 million trying to build a better mousetrap. We took a different path: use every AI tool available to deliver better work, faster, and at a lower cost.
We didn’t predict AI would be what it is. But we built for something that doesn’t go out of style: judgment, relationships, and efficiency. Those matter now more than ever.
